Established in 2009, Baton Simulations has deep roots in organizational change management and developing software innovations that transform how SAP ERP is understood, sold, and adopted. We build the simulations, AI tools, and adoption software behind three core missions: accelerating buyer decisions, building practical SAP expertise, and driving lasting customer adoption and success.

ERPsim: a set of gamified business simulations running on live SAP S/4HANA environments, where teams manage a real company and see the impact of every decision.
SmartDAS: our GenAI and ML workbench built to integrate custom Generative AI and automation to any SAP environment in days instead of months. Teams can develop, train, and test business outcomes in a zero-risk simulation before touching production.
DAS: In-application training, guidance, and collaboration tools that give users complete visibility over end-to-end processes helping them understand both their role and the software’s impact on business success.
DAS Language Localizer: A real-time translation management solution for web-based software applications that simplifies localization, eliminates language barriers, and accelerates software adoption across international markets.

Based in Montreal, we work in more than 65 countries, on every continent: directly with enterprises, and through a network of systems integrators, training consultancies, and partners who trust us to make enterprise systems tangible for their clients.
We design purpose-built scenarios for manufacturing, distribution, public sector, defense and security, logistics, enterprise asset management, and sustainability. We build specialized environments because a defense procurement team and a distribution warehouse don’t learn the same way.
Through our academic partner, the ERPsim Lab at HEC Montréal, more than 300 universities globally use ERPsim to educate undergraduate and graduate students, shaping the next generation of SAP business leaders.

ERPsim Lab at HEC Montréal
Baton has a long-standing relationship with HEC Montréal, a leading university in Canada and a business school known for excellence in research and teaching. Thought leaders at the ERPsim Lab at HEC laid the foundations for ERPsim, which they now make available to over 200 academic institutions around the world. HEC continues to provide Baton with research and innovation capabilities.
SCALE AI
Baton is an industry partner of SCALE AI, Canada’s business-led consortium “dedicated to building the next-generation supply chain and boosting industry performance by leveraging AI technologies.” As we leverage AI and machine learning in our own solutions, we also work to strengthen our economy with these technologies.
Leadership
Guy Couillard
CEO
Guy leads Baton and manages its strategic relationships with organizations such as SAP. Appointed CEO in 2015 when Baton acquired OTA, a consultancy in organizational change management that he founded and led, Guy brings a wealth of experience in organizational change management (OCM), enterprise software deployment, and executive education. He holds a master’s degree in communications from Université de Montréal and a bachelor’s degree from Concordia University, and conducted post-graduate research in technology adoption.
Sebastien Cherry
Chief Technology Officer
Sebastien is a technical innovator who leads development of Baton’s products. He has more than 19 years of experience in all phases of architecture, design, and development of business applications. With a Ph.D. and M.Sc. in computer and software engineering from Polytechnique Montréal, Sebastien also holds a bachelor’s degree from the Université de Québec à Montreal.
Kamran Shaikh
Director of User Research
An expert in user experience research and development and the mastermind behind our newest simulation scenarios, Kamran is key to Baton’s product development efforts. Applying his deep knowledge of learning theory and incorporating engagement strategies such as gamification, Kamran designs meaningful and memorable experiences that make our products successful. Kamran is also a lecturer and researcher at Concordia University, where he earned a Ph.D. and master’s degree in educational technology, and a bachelor’s degree in economics and education.
