ERPsim On-Demand is an innovative educational tool that simulates a real-world business scenario and decision making in a gamified environment. It allows individuals and small teams to engage directly with SAP S/4HANA ERP software, providing a fun and practical interactive platform to learn and apply various business concepts. The simulation game is structured into three rounds and customizable to your pace, ranging from 5 to 30 minutes per round depending on the scenario, you have the flexibility to pause and resume at your convenience. On-Demand sessions are available for 6 hours, giving you ample time to delve deep into the simulation and explore its features during and post-game play. As you play you are competing against bot teams and working towards earning rewards as you learn and implement decisions. At the end you may then compare your performance with colleagues that on a leaderboard. Plus, engage with interactive tutorials to enhance your skills and generative AI to enrich your understanding as you navigate through the simulation.

The Distribution/Sustainability scenario in ERPsim On-Demand focuses on managing a virtual company’s sales, marketing operations with an emphasis on sustainable practices. Participants learn to balance the trade-off of profitability with reducing carbon emissions, while competing to maximize sales revenues.

Simulation Experience Objectives

  • Profit, Revenue and Inventory Management: Aim to maximize revenue and profits while minimizing the carbon footprint of your inventory management operations.
  • Operational Decisions: Make pricing decisions relative to competitors to capture revenue and to maximize profit margins. Make purchasing decisions to effectively maintain inventory.
  • Sustainability Cost Awareness: Understand how inventory management decisions may align with sustainability best practices and the cost impacts of products with higher carbon footprints.

Gameplay

  • Duration: Competitive simulation game time 15 to 45 minutes. Three sections/rounds of 5 to 15 minutes, based on the pace set in the simulation settings controller. Simulation may be paused to change pace, roles played.
  • Players: Single player or team of 2-4 players competing against three robotic teams.
  • Roles: Sales, Purchasing, Marketing.
  • Total Access Time: 6 hours of system availability after the scheduled start. The extra time given is to make business decisions with the help of the analytics, view explanatory videos, read the guiders, explore SAP, interact with the generative and conversational AI, and more.

The EAM scenario in ERPsim On-Demand immerses individuals and small teams in the world of asset management. Participants learn about the cost impacts and resources to effectively manage and maintain equipment uptime. The simulation provides a close to real life approach to understanding the nuances of maintaining and optimizing assets for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

  • Asset Optimization: Aim to achieve high asset availability while minimizing maintenance costs.
  • Strategic Maintenance: Transition from corrective to planned and predictive maintenance, utilizing advanced analytics.

Gameplay

  • Duration: Competitive simulation game time 33 to 93 minutes. Three sections/rounds of 11 to 33 minutes, based on the pace set in the simulation settings controller. Simulation may be paused to change pace, roles played.

  • Roles: Maintenance Engineer, Resource Manager, Inventory Specialist.
